Departure from the Ukraine
Visa
- Possible stay without a visa up to 90 days
- You have to carry a biometric passport with you
- Once the 90 days have passed you are able to get another residence permit up to 90 days
- You can also apply for a visa athe diplomatic representations of the ukrainian neighbouring states -> In principle this has to occur until entering Germany
Asylum
- A written application for political asylum can be submitted at the federal office in accordance with legal guidelines
- Expected from March 3rd, 2022: Ukrainian citizens can get temporary protection up to 3 years without filing an application for political asylum
- ! If you file an application for political asylum the country will intervene and you won't be able to decide about your whereabouts !
Coronavirus
- You are obligated to show a corona test upon entry
- You can also do the testing at the border crossing point
- If you have Covid symptoms, medical qualified staff will be consulted
Important
- Deputies of the german diplomatic representations of Warsaw, Cracow, Chisinow, Bratislava, Bucharest and Budapest stay in the ukrainian neighbouring states
- They can help at particular border crossings
- They can answer questions about visa and pandemic-related entry
